Since I picked up my first dumbbell at age 17, I knew this is what I wanted to do. For myself, and others. I wanted to create a diverse community with a culture focused on fun and hard work. All our members know each other’s names and support one another during workouts. Functional Strength Wellness is the embodiment of that young mans dream and now, has helped the city of Burlington reach their goals and get into the best shape of their lives since 2015, Stop by and see us! Anyone can work out and get in shape. But since we were established back in 2012, we’ve been serving the Burlington area with a new way to exercise, that has streamlined results for our clients dramatically.

We asked ourselves what is vitally important to our clients, and what we saw was NEEDED for them as well. We arrived at a method that is efficient and effective. Functional Strength Wellness offers a weekly schedule of classes for every fitness fan. Whether you want to dial up the intensity with our Barbell Club or take a more foundational approach, with our flagship Functional Strength class, we’ve got a class with a spot just for you. We will discuss your goals with you and help you choose the classes that suits your needs.
Our Flagship Class
This class is like no other class you'll find in Burlington. This class is FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT based. We use a combination of body weight and free weight based movements, gauged by a belted system much like martial arts, mastering movements before progressing to the next level. We believe this is the most intelligent way to move!
External Strength From Internal Vitality
Strong is the new sexy. And there's no better way to get strong than mastering basic barbell movements. If you've got the grit, then we've got the equipment, programming, and coach - National Powerlifting medalist Travis Graham - to bring out the strongest version of you.
Rehab AND Fitness in Each Session
You want to workout but your in pain. It's estimated that 1 in 3 Canadians suffer from musculo-skeletal pain from either sports related injury or plain old degeneration. We recognized this ever increasing problem so we created Functional Rehab. Each session combines Registered Physiotherapy/Massage Therapy with Intelligently prescribed fitness exercises that are safe for you, AND a great workout!
One on One. Ultimate Guidance
Ever been in an exercise class and not sure if you're performing the exercise correctly? Having a personal trainer to guide you through your fitness routine will help make sure you are spending time on the proper types of exercise that are customized to your current abilities and goals. Group training makes for a great environment of course! If, however you feel you'd benefit from the trainers full attention, then One on One Personal Training is right for you.
