1. Functional Assessment
Our members are driven primarily by progress. They start to exercise to see results and when those results come it fuels their training even more! In order to see progress though we must first know at which point we are starting from, and this is where our method comes in to your journey.
Our Functional Testing truly represents the level of fitness. Using Archon Combine technology, we not just take into account the measurables of Mobility, Strength, Endurance but also your individual variables as well. Height, weight, age, gender and in some cases wingspan dictates your ability to excel in any given discipline, and only when taking everything into account can you get a true picture of where you are and how to improve.
2. Train & Track
We developed our training software not only to track results of our functional fitness tests, but also individual workouts for each member. Data on its own is useless; it’s only useful when you know how to apply it. We’ve made it easy for our clients to know exactly what is needed in order to get better. Our analysis gives you information including, targets, current level and the steps needed to improve. With this information you will finally be able to put the pieces of the fitness jigsaw together and produce real results based training.
Now, you can't out-train a poor diet! We also include Meal Plans to get you started. Again, we take an individual approach to customize the meals to your needs! Based on your Functional Assessment we devise the right type (paleo, keto, vegetarian, etc) and the right macro ratio to fit your body's needs.
3. Team / Personal Re-Assessment
So now we've got a plan! Now how do we know if it's working? Every 12 weeks we will do a complete Re-Assessment. If you're part of one of our training groups we do it as a group. This is HIGHLY motivating. The group cheering you on brings out the best in you. If you're doing Personal Training we do it One on One.
We don’t assess progress purely just by the number of plates put onto a bar, the speed of a run or the amount of metres rowed. A personal best can occur in many different situations, increasing load lifted, speed, distance covered or even a change in power to weight ratio. Understanding when you are getting better will provide motivation and connect the dots when it comes to what’s working and what’s not.
Scheduled assessments paired with the goals set out in your personal workout tracker creates what we found was lacking in other "show up when you want" gym classes - Structure and Accountability to your training and eating habits.
